Friday Video Fun: When Curby Met Tiffani

I really do want to get back into more regular blogging. But having two blogs is difficult. For now I've decided to keep both blogs, but sometimes I'll either post the same thing on both - or more likely refer people from this blog to that one when I have posted something there I think you'll like. And then you can click and go there. (Alternatively, you could bookmark the tiff and curby blog or add it to your RSS reader)

The video was designed to be a documentary style video - and our inspiration was "When Harry Met Sally" - but I'll be honest.... the Speiers blew our idea out of the water. The video is really amazing and I cry every time I watch it. It will be a great memento for us and for our family over the years.

I think that I tend to have a lot of friends who are movie lovers. And because of that, we know a lot of movie quotes.

So when I saw this clip from this weekend's Saturday Night Live, with Charles Barkley, I was cracking up.

Friday Fun! (its video time again!)

Well, I had been looking for this video for a long time in my house and just couldn't find it... until yesterday when I was doing a bunch of spring cleaning around my house and happened to locate the DVD in my desk.

Anyway, in spring of 2008, Kathryn and I applied to be a part of the Amazing Race (season 13). We made this really funny (to us) audition tape, but alas we did not get chosen. While our fingers are still crossed that someday one of the producers will pick up our tape, watch it, and say, "WHAT?!? We need these women on the next season!" - it seems unlikely.

So in the interest of "fun friday" and entertaining my loyal readers (that's you...) - here it is. Kathryn and Tiffani's Amazing Race Audition (the extended version).

special note: the actual submitted version did not have the middle spoof, because the whole tape could only be 3 minutes, plus it was much better edited than this version which cuts off at the beginning in a few places. Also, in order to do the credits, I lost a wink at the very end, which is a bummer, because it was funny. Nonetheless... enjoy.

Final's Fun!

Its not Friday, and I haven't really been posting Friday Fun this quarter because I was kind of overwhelmed with school and life - -- - - BUT, today is like Friday to me for three reasons:

1) All my coursework for the quarter is complete.
2) The conference I was attending on Spirituality in Higher Ed is complete
3) I have finished my last school related meetings for the quarter

And in honor of my "friday feelings," this is for all y'all to enjoy with me.

See friends... I'm trying to placate you with book reviews and funny videos until I stop running around so much and have a minute to update the blog. There are awesome updates to come, though - maybe tonight even! But classes started this week, so its been intense. But tonight, perhaps I will take a minute as SYTYCD runs in the background to post an update of my aunts' recent visit.
